Ask before you buy, and after

Pre-sales questions, licensing questions and technical problems all reach the same small team, and a person reads every one. There is no ticket queue to be routed through and no chatbot in the corner of the screen.

hello@alumdeck.com. We reply within one working day, and usually the same day.

Send a message

Tell us what you are trying to do

The more specific the question, the more useful the answer. If it is a technical problem, include what your host says about PHP and MySQL and we can usually answer it in one reply instead of four.

The only address we will use, and only to reply to you.
Optional. It helps us judge the scale of what you are planning.
Ten words is enough to start. Detail is welcome.

What to expect

Who answers what

Four kinds of message arrive, and they are handled differently.

Before you buy

Whether AlumDeck fits your institution, whether your hosting will run it, and what it does not do. We will tell you if a hosted platform suits you better.

Licensing

Multiple installations, staging copies, invoices for a finance office, purchase orders and what a renewal covers. The plain-English terms are on the licence page.

Technical

Installation problems, server checks that fail, updates and moving a site to a new host. Send the exact error and the version you are on.

Something else

Corrections to a guide, a subject you want written about, a bug in this website, or a question that fits none of the boxes above.

Being straight with you

What we cannot help with

Saying this in advance is quicker than saying it in a reply.

  • We do not log into your server. Support is by email, with instructions you carry out, because handing over hosting credentials to a software vendor is a bad habit to build.
  • There is no phone number and no account manager. Everything is written down, which suits a small team and gives you a record of what was said.
  • There is no live demo and no demo login to hand out. The screenshot tour is the honest version of that, and anything online claiming to be an AlumDeck demo is not ours.
  • We do not do custom development, migrations from other platforms or theme design as a service at the moment.
  • We cannot take your money yet. Checkout is not open, so if you want to buy, ask to be told when it opens.

What happens to what you send

The form emails your message to us and nothing else. There is no marketing list behind it, no analytics on this website and no third-party script watching you fill it in. Ask us to delete the message afterwards and we will. The full detail is on the privacy page.

If the form fails for any reason, email hello@alumdeck.com directly. It reaches exactly the same place.
Quick answers

Things you might not need to email about

How quickly do you reply?

Within one working day, and usually sooner. If you write on a Saturday you will probably hear back on Monday.

If four days pass with no answer, assume a mail server ate it and send it again rather than assuming you are being ignored.

Can I buy AlumDeck right now?

Not yet. Checkout is still being finished, and we are not going to pretend otherwise or take a payment through a workaround.

Email us or leave your address on the pricing page and you will be told the day it opens. No countdown, no reserved discount, no pressure.

Can I see it running before I buy?

There is no public live demo yet. What we publish is a screenshot tour taken from a real install with real content in it, not mockups.

If you have a specific screen you want to see, ask, and we will send a screenshot of it.

Will you tell me if AlumDeck is wrong for us?

Yes, and it happens. If you need someone else to patch your server, an account manager to escalate to, or deep integration with an existing fundraising CRM, a hosted platform earns its subscription and we will say so.

Selling a $49 licence to an institution that needed something else is a bad trade for both of us.

Do you have a phone number or an office address?

No. We are not going to publish a number nobody answers or an address that is a mailbox.

Email is the whole support channel, and it is answered by the people who wrote the software.

One payment

Most questions end at the pricing page

One licence, $49 once per installation, unlimited members, and a year of updates and support. If the answer you needed is a number, that is it.

hello@alumdeck.com. One working day, from a person.
