Pricing

$49 once. That is the whole price list.

One payment for one installation, every module in it, no cap on how many alumni you hold. A year of updates and support comes with it, and after that year the software carries on exactly as installed.

Checkout is not open yet. Email hello@alumdeck.com and we will tell you the day it opens, once, with nothing else attached.

Five years, priced out

What the same five years cost elsewhere

Three platforms that publish a price, at their cheapest tier, multiplied out. Nobody runs alumni software for a single year, so one year is the wrong number to compare.

Competitor figures are their own published prices at the time we researched them, multiplied out by us. They are not quotes anyone gave us, and published plans change. The last row is the one that should give you pause: on AlumDeck, patching and backing up the server is your job.

The boundaries

One price, and exactly where it stops

In the licence

  • Every module, including donations and mentoring
  • Unlimited members, users and admins
  • One live installation, plus a staging copy
  • Full source code, not encoded
  • One year of updates and email support

After the first year

  • AlumDeck keeps running exactly as installed
  • Your data stays in your database, untouched
  • Renewal is optional and buys only updates and support
  • No kill switch, no countdown, nothing switches itself off

Not included, deliberately

  • Hosting. Bring your own, from roughly $3 a month
  • A domain name
  • Anyone else patching or backing up the server for you
  • Installation as a service, or custom development
The honest part

Why it is one payment, and why you might reasonably wait

Alumni software is not expensive to run once it sits on your hosting. The cost is in building it and in the first year of questions from a new customer, which is what the $49 pays for. Charging every year afterwards for software already on your own server would be rent.

AlumDeck is also new. We have no customers yet, no case studies and no reviews, and you should read that here rather than find it out afterwards.

Reasons to wait

  • You want a live demo to click through. There is not one yet, only screenshots of a real install.
  • You want references from institutions like yours. There are none to give.
  • You need someone else to patch PHP, renew certificates and take backups. With AlumDeck that is your job, and it is a real job.
  • You need phone support, single sign-on with a student system, or a major-gift CRM. AlumDeck does none of those.

Reasons not to

  • The downside is $49 and an afternoon, against three to five figures a year for the alternatives.
  • The source code is yours on download, so the product surviving does not depend on the company surviving.
  • The price cannot be raised on an installation you already own. There is no licence server, so there is no mechanism for it.
If more than one of the reasons to wait applies to you, buy hosted software instead. It will cost a great deal more and it will still be the right decision.
Before you buy

The eight questions that arrive most

What happens after the first year?

Nothing happens to your site. AlumDeck carries on running exactly as installed, with your data in your own database. What stops is new updates and support tickets, and renewing buys those back whenever you want them, including years later.

Is $49 really everything?

For one installation, yes. Donations, mentoring, events, the job board and the committee pages are all in it. There is no add-on store where the parts you actually wanted turn out to be $29 each, which is the usual trap with cheap marketplace scripts. You supply the hosting and the domain.

How many alumni can it hold?

There is no limit in the software and no per-record charge, so your 5,001st alumnus costs nothing. The practical ceiling is your hosting, and ordinary shared hosting handles tens of thousands of member records without complaining.

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, within seven days, if AlumDeck will not install on a host that meets the published requirements and we cannot fix it with you.

After that, no, because the source code has already been delivered. We would rather write that plainly here than bury it in terms. Check the requirements against your hosting first.

Can I install it on more than one site?

One licence covers one live installation, plus a staging copy of that same site to rehearse upgrades on. A second alumni site, for a different institution or association, needs a second licence.

Do you take a cut of the donations we raise?

No. Not a percentage, not a per-transaction fee, not now and not later. The giving module runs on your server and the money never passes through us. Whatever your own payment provider charges is between you and them.

What if I need it on five client sites?

Five installations means five licences, which is $245, and most agencies bill it straight through. There is no published agency tier yet, and inventing one here would be pretending we have a business we do not have. If you need several at once, email hello@alumdeck.com.

When does checkout open?

We are not publishing a date, because a date we miss is worse than no date. The buy button on this page turns real when checkout is finished. Email hello@alumdeck.com and you get one message the day it opens, and nothing else.

One payment

Own the alumni site instead of renting it

$49 once, unlimited members, every module, and the source code on hosting you control.

Questions before you commit? Email hello@alumdeck.com and a person replies, usually within one working day.
